One Man's Dream

People rave about this exhibit on all of the Disney boards I participate in. So, on this last trip to Hollywood Studios, I decided to make my way to see it. Though I don't think younger kids would be as impressed, it's a fabulous look at Walt Disney and his career.

The movie was just okay, IMHO. After walking through the whole exhibit, I thought I would enjoy the movie more. Even with Julie Andrews doing the narration, it was just so-so.

So, what's inside? Of course, there's plenty of memorabilia from Walt's life as well as from his movies and TV productions. But there's also costumes (and since my dream was once to be a costume designer, I'm always enchanted with costumes). For me, the most amazing part is the models of different parts of the parks. I love anything in a miniaturized state--except for my Dole Whips, of course!

The best part? If you just want to have a look around the exhibit, you don't have to wait for the movie. You can walk through and then turn around and walk right back out, down the street, and get in the monstrous line for Toy Story Mania!

I wouldn't rate it as a "do not miss," but it's definitely worth 5-10 minutes of your time. Especially on a bad weather day.
