Make your own buttons!

Yes, it's true. You can get a button at guest services in any park for celebrating just about anything. Heck, last time I went, they even had one you could fill in yourself. But for the last decade, for every trip we've gone on, I've made my own buttons.

It's easy to do, I promise. Michael's craft stores sells clear plastic buttons that you pull apart and insert whatever your heart desires. Snap them back together, and you have your very own one of a kind Disney pin.

For this last trip, we were celebrating my husband's and niece's birthday. So, my husband got an "It's my 34th birthday!" button decorated with pirate stickers and my niece got a "It's my 9th birthday!" button decorated with Peter Pan. My sister and I didn't want to be left out, so I made Alice themed pins that said "It's my UNbirthday!" This is a great idea for little kids. You can customize the button with stickers, and whatever saying you want, and it really makes them feel special. They get to have their own special pin that nobody else has!

You need no artistic talent to do this, I promise. Just pick up some letter stickers and then character stickers of choice. Avoid any of the puffy stickers, because it's hard to get the pin closed over them.

Spend an afternoon with the kids making your buttons or surprise them on arrival!
