Hidden Mickey

Did you know there are hidden Mickeys all over Walt Disney World? Imagineers have blended them in so you have to look, but once you start looking, you'll see them all over the place! Hidden Mickey basically consist of one big circle with two little circles on the top--looks just like Mickey's head and his ears.

One of the easiest to spot, and great for beginning spotters and kids is in the Haunted Mansion. Take a close look at the place setting on the far left corner in the ballroom scene (you know the one, where all of the ghosts are dancing and the organ is playing) you should find one large plate with two smaller sized plates placed just so.

Don't think you're blind if you don't see it--I have heard cast members often change this hidden Mickey around, and there have been a few trips when I have not seen it down at the end.

Good luck, and if you don't spot one there, keep your eyes out on my blog--I'll be adding these in sporadically for those of you who are always on the search for Mickeys!

If this sounds like something right up your alley, check out Steven Barrett's "Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets." It will tell you where all of them are hidden!

Happy hunting!
